I find it therapeutic

riding on the train

while I’m sitting here and writing

I can unlock my brain

Heritage

They smell of Africa

the couple on the tube

Western dress

yet the dust of the plains

a hint of sweat beaded on the brow

hips swaying to some ancient rhythm

survive

a young warrior

with his bride

on the district line
