“No robbery” is what God said, whispering

so gently to her heart.

***

“No robbery”, words so strong and certain

as so much threatens to full apart

***

Pulling me back to what is true

When my heart cries “how can it be -

no robbery”

***

I long and ache for what was to be

To have felt his arms so tenderly

With freedom to say that he loved me

***

But that time is gone, it’s not to be

Certain, sure he’s whole and free

***

But I’m still here, my heart is sore

All I know today I longed for more

***

So I turn to you, your arms are safe

I trust your words and trust your grace

to stand again in a solid place

This is absolutely beautiful, and very moving. My heart goes out to the writer, but as Steve has already said - what depth, what grace. Whoever wrote this, I pray that God’s grace continues to sustain and comfort and be ‘El Shaddai’ to you.
